# Community Guidelines

### 1.1 | Respect <a href="#do-not-harass-others" id="do-not-harass-others"></a>

Treat every member and user of the community with respect. Respect extends to differences in skill levels, opinions, backgrounds, and in-game performance. Any form of disrespectful behavior, including harassment, offensive language, or disruptive actions, is strictly prohibited. Keep communication positive and constructive with playful trash-talk to a minimum.

### 1.2 | **Offensive Behavior** <a href="#do-not-engage-in-hate-speech" id="do-not-engage-in-hate-speech"></a>

Engage in respectful and inclusive communication at all times. Offensive behavior also extends to usernames, profile pictures, and in-game content. By promoting a positive and welcoming atmosphere it contributes to a more enjoyable gaming experience for everyone in the community.

Protected Characteristics include:

1. **Racism, sexism, discrimination or any behavior that may be considered disrespectful to others;** This includes the use of inappropriate language, hate speech, bullying, harassment, or any actions that create a hostile environment.
2. **Inappropriate discussion, political or religious discussions or references including names;** This includes conversations/interactions that are not suitable for a particular context whether explicit, offensive, or inappropriate.
3. **Inappropriate usernames, which include but are not limited to sexual, racial, inappropriate or offensive in nature;** This refers to usernames that are deemed unsuitable, offensive, or promote negative views. This can range from explicit/suggestive language, references, innuendos, slurs or derogatory terms.
4. **Disrespect towards members, users, admins, etc – This includes abbreviations;** This refers to any behavior, communication, or expression that undermines the dignity, well-being, or mutual respect of users. This can include using offensive language, harassment, bullying, name-calling, insensitive remarks, or disruptive behavior.
5. **Disrespectful or offensive abbreviations;** This refers to shortened forms of words or phrases that are disrespectful, offensive, or inappropriate. These can include offensive language, slurs, or derogatory terms.
6. **Trolling;** Intentionally disruptive or provocative behavior. Deliberately disrupting game play, spreading false information, or participating in any activity intended to create a negative experience for members and users.

### 1.3 | **Sensitive Topics**

Sensitive topics refer to subjects or issues that have the potential to provoke strong emotions, discomfort, or controversy due to their personal, cultural, political, or societal significance. This refers to;

1. **Religion;** Discussions related to religious beliefs, practices, or institutions.
2. **Politics;** Conversations about political ideologies, parties, or current events.
3. **Race and Ethnicity;** Discussions involving racial and ethnic backgrounds, discrimination, or cultural differences.
4. **Gender and Sexuality;** Conversations related to gender identity, sexual orientation, and gender equality.
5. **Controversial Current Events;** Discussions about events or issues that may be divisive or controversial.
6. **Trauma and Violence;** Conversations involving sensitive events, such as abuse, violence, or traumatic experiences.

### 1.4 | Disruptive Behavior <a href="#do-not-engage-in-malicious-or-illegal-activities" id="do-not-engage-in-malicious-or-illegal-activities"></a>

Disruptive behavior refers to any action or conduct that hinders or negatively impacts the normal flow of game play, communication, or the overall gaming experience for other users. This can include;

1. **Exploiting Glitches;** Taking advantage of game glitches or bugs to gain an unfair advantage over other players.
2. **Chat Spam;** Flooding in-game chat with excessive or irrelevant messages.
3. **Intentional Feeding;** Deliberately providing the opposing team with kills, resources or information.
4. **Hacking or Cheating;** Using unauthorized third-party software or engaging in activities that violate the game’s terms of service.
5. **Harassment;** Engaging in offensive or abusive language directed at other players.
6. **Trolling/Griefing;** Deliberately provoking or annoying other players to elicit an emotional response.

### 1.5 | **Your Privacy and Others**

Your Privacy and Others refers to releasing personal information of yourself or another person for both innocent and malicious intentions. **Examples are;**

1. **Personal Information;** Sharing sensitive personal information such as your real name, address, phone number, or financial details while interacting within the game or on associated platforms.
2. **Voice Chat;** Discussing private matters or providing personal details. Respect others’ privacy by refraining from recording or sharing voice conversations without permission.
3. **Game Chat;** Revealing personal details or engaging in conversations that could compromise your privacy.

### 1.6 | **Server Balancing**

Server Balancing refers to the strategic and dynamic adjustment of player distribution across a match to ensure fair and competitive matches. Key aspects of server balancing include;

1. **Team Size;** Ensuring that the number of players on each team is balanced. Uneven team sizes can lead to unfair advantages, impacting the overall gaming experience.
2. **Player Connection and Latency;** Considering player connection quality and latency to create a balanced distribution that minimizes potential lag issues and ensures a fair playing field.
3. **Map Rotation and Variety;** Voting for a variety of maps and rotating them regularly to keep game play diverse and prevent scenarios where certain players or teams consistently dominate on specific maps.

### 1.7 | **Exploiting**

Exploiting refers to taking advantage of unintended features, vulnerabilities, or loopholes in a game to gain an unfair advantage or benefit. This can include manipulating game mechanics, using third-party software, or engaging in activities that go against the intended rules and fair play. This can also include;

1. **Glitch Exploitation;** Taking advantage of programming errors or glitches in the game to gain benefits, such as accessing unintended areas, obtaining items or currency, or achieving advantages over other players.
2. **Cheating;** Using external software or tools to modify the game client or manipulate game data, providing advantages such as aimbots, wallhacks, or increased character abilities.
3. **Map or Level Exploitation;** Finding ways to exploit map or level design to gain unintended advantages, like reaching inaccessible areas, bypassing obstacles, or ambushing opponents unfairly.
4. **Statistical Exploitation;** Manipulating in-game statistics, leaderboards, or rankings to falsely inflate one’s achievements or standing within the game community.
